The free childcare you receive when your child is over 3?

Do you only receive this free childcare during term time? We are planning on sending my little one to a nursery but our childminder also takes this vouchers. Could we put her into the nursery over term time and with the childminder over the holidays and still receive 12.5 hrs for free each week?
