i have read a whole lot of books and want to read more nice books. so please can you recommend me some nice books apart from old classics and detective stories? precisely, books that do not contain a lot of slang language or epithets.

Have you read the Hunger Games? That was the most inspiring, thought provoking book I've ever read. It's for a young adult but I think even adults would enjoy it. It is probably one of the best books I'v ever read. Also, Uglies by scott westerfeld and The Long Walk by stephen king are good. Damn, but if aren't into science fiction I can't help you. *smirk* Um, I really don't know what to suggest because I have no idea what your into! sorry!
