I've read up on medical assistants & found that they work in hospitals & other physicians offices. So once you become a medical assistant, are you qualified to work in a pyschiatric office?

Of course you can. Once being a medical assitant you can work in any clinical or hospital setting youd like. Which is the nice thing about being a medical assitant. However, it all depends if the psychiatric office is not requiring previous experience in the same setting.
