Lowell woman faces numerous charges in abuse of her animals

A 62-year-old woman faces numerous charges after dead and neglected dogs were found at her rural Lowell home on Friday. Lake County Sheriff’s Department Detective Michelle Weaver said Saturday that 17 dogs were rescued and about 15 others were discovered dead in a freezer at a house in the 7800 block of West 245th Avenue, near Schneider.
